On Wednesday, January 14, 2026, 20 staff members from Lawrence Family Public Academy (LFPA) stayed on their own time to complete the Red Cross CPR, First Aid and AED Certification Program. We are especially grateful to Assistant Director of Health Services Coleen Curtin and Director of Health Services Sarah Banville for helping us put this together. Thank you to all for putting safety first!

It was a pleasure to host state Sen. Michael J. Rodrigues, Chair of Senate Committee on Ways & Means, for visits to the new Leahy and Oliver school buildings this week.

Elementary students wrote and presented special cards to each visitor.

The Senator and other guests had perfect timing, as students were performing and celebrating the season on our way into our holiday break!

These Kindergarten students at the Lawrence Family Public Academy (LFPA) had lots of fun decorating their own edible Christmas Trees.

Students at the South Lawrence East had a special visit from Santa during their annual Holiday Breakfast. Families got to decorate gingerbread houses and enjoy some holiday fun. More holiday events coming to a school near you!

Congratulations to all the inductees to the National Honor Society at Lawrence High School. This year there were 36 returning members and 92 newly eligible students who were inducted in the ceremony in the fieldhouse. The members of the Governing Board posed with Head of School Victor Caraballo Anderson after they conducted a successful event.

Visual and Performing Arts teachers became students for the day during Artistry Unleashed. Workshops from puppetry and dance to upcycled jewelry and introducing students to music engaged participants from 17 area communities in a full day that began with student performance and a key note from ceramic artist, social activist, and educator, Robert Lugo, known for combining classical pottery with graffiti-style painting.
