Winter Sports are wrapping up for our Lawrence Lancers, with some athletes still in competition. Congratulations to our Lancer Wrestler Hillary MacDonald who earned the title of 2025 MIAA Girls All State Champion again this year. She will continue on to the New England Wrestling competition this weekend. Great work!

The Guilmette Middle School recently visited the Addison Art Gallery in Andover. It was interactive and reflective as students analyzed various artistic styles and movements. 

Ten Lawrence High School students received a special invitation by Senator Pavel Payano, Boston City Councilor Julia Mejia, and Mayor Brian DePeña to attend the Dominican Independence Day Breakfast Awards Celebration held in Dorchester, MA this morning. The students were selected due to their leadership, cultural pride and commitment to community engagement.

Congratulations to Lawrence High School Theater, which went to National Performing Arts Festival over February vacation and came home with the hardware! 🏆🥇

In a whirlwind few days, the 35 student actors performed for judges; took acting, music and dance masterclass workshops with Broadway professionals; and had the chance to meet other actors from around the country.

The cast performed a piece from “In the Heights” and 10 members competed in the solo competition. The Lancers were awarded Ensemble Excellence in Choreography, the Judge's Trophy for High Achievement, and the festival’s top honor for highest score – the Showcase Trophy.

Carolina Sanchez and Kiara Felix each won medals for a Superior Rating for the solo competition; and Kevin Reyes, Carolina Sanchez and Kiara Feliz won medals for the Spotlight Awards for Excellence in Performance in the ensemble competition.

Finally on Sunday the cast had the honor of performing on the Lagoon Stage in Universal Studios -- welcome home and well done all!

These students at Breen School learned many skills by creating a shadow puppet presentation during Acceleration Academy. They were among the approximately 1,000 students who took part in engaging in lessons around the District last week.

Lawrence High School grad Lennie Simo aka Lenstrumental worked with Ms. Duran's 4th grade music classes at Arlington Elementary School this week. Lennie has been pen tapping since 6th grade and touring the world since. It was a treat that he shared his technique with some very enthusiastic students. Keep an eye out for the videos. South Lawrence East Elementary families dressed up and came to school ready for the annual Sweetheart Dance. Lots of pink and red could be seen as everyone danced and enjoyed a fun, family party.

Lancer Wrestling celebrated Senior Night last night and Senior Jean Carlos Martinez, pictured with his family, had even more to celebrate. JC completed his 100th career win in a match against Tewksbury. Congratulations on this impressive accomplishment!
