Girls enjoyed activities and soccer drills and each of the 40-plus participants went home with their own soccer ball.

Red Sox Visit Lawrence Schools
Incredibly grateful to the Boston Red Sox for a truly memorable day in Lawrence Public Schools! As part of this weekend's Fenway Fest celebration, more than 20 current players and coaches, manager Alex Cora, and Sox legend Jason Varitek visited students in Lawrence High School, South Lawrence East Elementary and Spark Academy. Not to mention Wally, Tessie, and two very shiny trophies...
They went on lots of classroom visits, held a player-run skills clinic with our partners at PlayBall, and sat for a question-and-answer panel with a few hundred LHS students. (five of six panelists even correctly answered a student’s “Lebron or Jordan” question -- IYKYK).
And thank you again to the athletes, coaches and entire Red Sox organization for choosing LPS schools and students!
