Adult Learning Center Information
Lawrence Adult Learning Center (ALC) formerly located at 255 Essex Street in the center of downtown Lawrence has moved to 530 Broadway Street inside of a refurbished mill that has been repurposed into an education complex inside of the Arlington District of the city of Lawrence.
The Adult Learning Center aims to help English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and Adult Basic Education (ABE) students achieve the learning goals that they set upon entry into the program. By improving these students’ skills in the areas of academics, language, technology, and workforce development, ALC aims to increase their opportunities to enter college and post-secondary training, obtain an industry-recognized credential, expand their career choices, enjoy a family-sustaining wage, and become effective citizens of their community.
